More Kissing in Paris…

The little book that I mentioned yesterday, The Best Places to Kiss in Paris, got me searching for more Parisian romance… Sometimes I love to read ‘girly’ romances… I don’t mind admitting that escapism on the printed page is equally as important to me as the classics or an intellectual mind bender. To read is a true pleasure and immeasurable gift… and whether the words make me smile, make me cry, help me learn  or make me think… they are all as valuable in their own way…

I have just bought myself Anna and the French Kiss, a fictional romp through Paris where boy meets girl etc.. etc.. It sounds the perfect light, bubbly and delightful read for summer… and is on it’s way to me right now… I will be add this ‘reverie’ to my basket that heads to the pool each afternoon… About now… I start dreaming of those summer months where life slows down and there is the time to read and bask in the warmth of Provence…

If you are in the mood for a little French romance… Anna and the French Kisshere

Fancy a new basket for the beach or the pool… I do… and loved this one… here

or really, really spoil yourself with this embroidered tote by Sophie Hulme… here

Have a wonderful weekend… make sure it is full of kisses… xv

Welcome in Paris darling…nice to met you here….what a great party this is !!…love Anita…..she is such a great friend for all of us…..happy week enjoy your time here….xxxx..

  2. Among the many ponts and gorgeous buildings, may I also say that it’s fun to kiss in front of Centre Pompidou, though it’s important not to bump into any of the tuyeaux by accident?

Any bistro is fair game (so civilized…), and the surprising ruelles one comes across in any number of neighborhoods can offer the accompaniment of flowers in windowboxes – and such romance!

Lovely topic for a weekend morning, with a cup of French Roast.

I love these both Paris Kissing Posts. I adore Scotland but for a romantic weekend with a secret lover I would go to Paris…Know the best places to be now :)

  4. I think I will pick up the romance novel for a summer read…thanks Vicki!

Gorgeous painting. There is something to be said for kissing in the moment wherever you are and with that it becomes your special place. Still, I would read the book about places just to discover more corners of Paris that I may have missed. Any excuse to read or think about Paris is valid and imperative!

  13. Hello Vicki

  15. There’s nothing better than escaping with a book! But especially those that don’t require much thinking! Which is exactly what I’m doing right now in Hilton Head Island…reading a “girly” romance and staring out at the ocean from my porch! Pure heaven!

  17. I love this print Vicki! The grey palette is so beautiful. I’d love to buy it.
Unfortunately, I’m still waiting for my loved one to take me to Paris and kiss me somewhere magical. (He hates Paris, so I fear the wait will be very long.) If, by some amazing change of fate, he did whisk me off to the Left Bank, then I would kiss HIM with gratitude -most likely on one of the bridges leading to the islands. I’ve always dreamed of kissing a sweet man there.

Ahhhhh…the Rodin Museum and “The Kiss”, sooooo passionate and romantic.

  19. Brenda says:

This is a lovely post! Paris is truly the most enchanting city and kissing anywhere is magical. My favourite place was at the top of the Eiffel, after toasting with a glass of pink champagne.
The artwork is gorgeous. I will need to find a perfect place for it and purchase it.
I purchased the Paris Wife for one of my summer reads. I have so many Paris books in my Amazon basket… so many books and so little time.
I wrote about the literary side to Paris for Anita’s soirée. It’s one of my favourite things…
Wishing you a most lovely week! xoxo, B

  21. After 15+ trips to Paris, I took my husband to Paris for his first trip and did every romantic thing I had ever read or imagined, including kissing on Pont des Arts after throwing our key to the red lock into the Seine (at sunset, bien sûr!)

I will have to buy the book for ideas on our next trip!

    Bises,
    Genie
