Deyrolle, the taxidermy store, right? Such a special place… Hand printed wallpapers, now that’s a find. Did you bring some back with you Vicki? I imagine it would be pretty costly to use, but as long as you stick to a very small room (maybe the powder room?) then that would be ok. Veronique (French Girl in Seattle) PS: Just wrote about “le café gourmand…” Did you have enjoy any during your Parisian stay? If so, would love to see pics!
These would most definitely have to be used in just the right place but no one can deny how beautiful they are! As I sat on my son’s bed this evening and cried…yes, cried because I miss him I took in all of the “things” I had used to decorate his room…there were deer, indian arrow heads, hunt themed pictures and bookends….and bugs! All befitting a young boy…and yet he never asked me to change them! I think he still likes it all truthfully! So that is what I thought of when I saw these papers…they are truly beautiful!
Amazing, Vicki. I’m glad you and your camera were there to snap and snap and snap. Wish I could be there to see them myself! Really exquisite! Thanks for the peek. XO
We usually stay right off the rue de Bac and the first time we happened upon Deyrolle we didnt know what to make of it…Very different…and now it is one of favorites. A Paris Must See…
Beautiful papers, love them…..Also glad you got to go to M&O got some good shots there, marriage Freres presentation is always so pretty, the things they do to enhance tea….Loved the chairs too!!!Maryanne xo
I love the rue du Bac and never went in here. Oh! What I’ve missed. Thank you for such great pictures.I love these papers! I haven’t stayed there since I was a student and now my own are that age. Ah, I know what Carolyn (above) means.
Ha, I knew you would find the most fun things around! My friend Prudence shows at Maison & Objet,
her own perfume creations, amazing, maybe you’ll see her! Parfume is ‘Prudence” Her stuff is incredible! (She is Australian, but lives in France, just like you!)
These would be stunning on the solid wall of a conservatory. {And lots of other places, I’m sure!} Beautiful find, Vicki, and I love your Maison et Objet snaps from the other day, too. You’re doing well to not have a bit of sensory overload by now!
I’m certain their wallpapers must be magnifique!
Magnifique…
Merci pour ton message, une bonne motivation pour continuer.
Belle soirée
