Paris… I Am Thinking About Your Restaurants…

A table for four please??

I am getting excited…

Next week I am off to Paris for the last few days of the Maison & Objet… the big deco and interiors show. So this week I am planning… getting organised… Where to go.. where to eat… what to wear… all that kind of preparation… When I am there I don’t want to waste a minute… there is too much to see and do in Paris and even after all this time… my next trip still feels like my first…

The ‘what to wear’ and ‘what to pack’ will happen on the weekend… but for now I have been thinking about ‘where to eat’… I always like to try new restaurants in Paris… nothing overly serious… but places that I have heard about or read about… a casual ambience with innovative chefs…

I asked Erica, from HiP Paris where she would recommend and she kindly gave me her list… I have been on the phone ever since… You can read all of the Hip Paris  restaurant recommendations here

My eating experience in Paris was splendid. BUT it wasn’t until my last day there that I discovered even MORE places to try and that is what makes ANY PLACE like Paris a fairytale, for the magic never ends there.

We will be thinking of you on your trip dear Vicki! Anita

  7. Have a lovely time in my all-time favorite city in the world! Whenever I go to Paris – which is not as often as I would like to – I always think about “where to stay”. There are so many wonderful hotels to choose from! On our last trip 4 weeks ago, we stayed at Hotel San Regis in 8eme – a small boutique hotel, fantastic location and old world charm.
Looking forward to your post upon your return.

What a wonderful trip. I wish I was within train distance from Paris! It’s been 2 years since I’ve visited, and that’s 2 years too long. Can’t wait to read about what you’ve experienced.

  11. Nicole says:

We spent the first two weeks of August in Paris…Our first time…But it certainly will not be our last. We did sooo much and yet there is so much more to see! What a place.

As far as eating, we did not have one bad meal in Paris. Even the baguette sandwich from a street merchant on the Trocadero was tasty and fresh.

I think you just can’t go wrong anywhere.

I envy you going to that show! Enjoy!

  12. Hello Vicki

How exciting and I love how your plan your trip with the wardrobe and where to eat. We like to have some plans when visiting a city and also some time to discover and follow our noses so to speak.

Looking forward to hearing all about and wishing you a joyful time

Thanks for the HIP tip – a new site for moi. The restaurants look great, but in case their food is not as light in calories as it appears…just remember to pack clothes with elastane. That’s my Fat-HIPS-tip! :)

Paris in the fall is just the best time to visit. I will keep this list for future visits to Paris. Enjoy the culinary and shopping offers in Paris!

  23. Thanks for the list Vicki !
Have you ever considered enjoying dinner in Versailles? Only 20 to 30 minutes from Paris (if no traffic jam of course…). There are lots of fantastic restaurants in Versailles. My two favorites: “Le boeuf à la mode” (casual atmosphere, very good food)and “Le resto du Roy” (inventive cuisine, modern decor). Just in case you would decide to explore another area…
    Have a great trip :-)
    Anne
