Win a Week In Provence on vickiarcher.com

Yes, WIN a week staying at Le Petit Bijou in gorgeous Saint Rémy de Provence.

This is the last week to enter, the winner will be announced on the 19th December.

Saint Rémy is a beautiful Provencal village in the heart of Provence. Le Petit Bijou, our “little jewel box” is a small house situated in the centre of the town. It is the perfect place to stay to explore the wonders of Provence and equally it is heaven to stop, relax and never leave the village.

I want to say thank you, thank you and a million more thank yous for being the best readers, the most generous souls and the most wonderful company this year. I have loved every second of our “conversations” and feel I am the luckiest woman in the world to have such engaging readers. France is one of my greatest passions, so of course I must share Provence with you.

Here is how it works.

The prize is one week’s accommodation staying at Le Petit Bijou in St Remy de Provence. The week can be booked anytime throughout 2017 or 2018 depending on availability. That gives you plenty of time to get excited and plan the trip, book the tickets and pack.

To enter you must leave a comment and be a subscriber on vickiarcher.com.

Existing subscribers must leave a comment to enter. New subscribers will find the subscription box at the end of this post.

(All that is required to subscribe is an email address and a click through on the verification email.)

And that’s it. Simple; subscribe and leave a comment.

The winner will be announced on Monday the 19th December. Good luck, xv.

Thank you for sharing your life and friends with those of us on the other side of the Earth. I know so many of my friends look forward to our regular meetings with you even though we never actually speak to you but our lives are so much more enriched by these glimpses into a life we can only dream about.

We spent a wonderful few days staying near St Remy de Provence in 2010. My son is turning 30 in October and now that he lives in London it would be fantastic to celebrate with the rest of his family from Australia in such a beautiful spot !

It is so grey here today! I just have to close my eyes and transport myself to Saint Rémy de Provence. That’s what dreams are made of or could it be the Magic of Christmas.

Dear Vicki,

I have enjoyed your blogs, emails, and instagrams for several years. I am 60 years old and live in beautiful Lexington, Ky (horse country). I love fashion, french style, flowers, lavender, lace, french soaps, exploring new places, stone bulidings, patina style, and strolling around cute small towns and villages. Just to name a few. Ha. I would love to take my amazing 83 year mother and my beautiful two daughters in their 30’s to St. Remy some day. We would shop, dine, and take day trips to the Luberon and surrounding villages. Sounds like a dream come true. Thank you for inspiring me every day. Donna

Beauty is all around us.
We need to see it and appreciate it.
It is the little things we need to notice, to appreciate : snow on a branch, a beautiful plate, a new colour of lipstick, a special recipe, a painting.
Thank you for the inspiration!

Aspirer. To Yearn.
The smell of fresh baguettes wafting up through an open window. The quiet flapping of a bird flying to a nearby clay pot chimney. The quiet din of diners at Le Café as they sip a glass of vin. Meandering aimlessly down a narrow cobblestone path. These are the wonders in life that one should yearn for.

Since discovering you, Vicki, I have loved sharing your books, articles, photos and insight with a huge variety of friends and family worldwide. What a joy it would be to stay at Le Petit Bijou, to savour “le parfum de Provence” in all its endless variety. To walk the cobbled streets in the footsteps of Van Gogh and other creatives, to sit at a café and sip “une petite creme” in the sunshine, to breathe the scent of lavender, and delight in the flavours of pistou and a glass (or two) of rosé. The sounds and colours of the marketplace alone would revive senses which have lain dormant for far too long. Cheers, Santé, Cin Cin to Provence and the jewel in your crown: Le Petit Bijou!

I was quite ill for most of 2016, and very miserably confined to bed, dreaming of travelling back to France, to the light and heat of Provence. In the ’70s, when I was little, we used to drive down every summer, in a old open-top Triumph Herald which would always overheat on the mountain roads. I would love to take my little boy there now. I miss everything: the skies, the white sand, the pine trees and the markets, the green-sharp clean scent of lavender, rich Bouillabaisse and flower-scented melons, tomatoes and mousse au chocolat and powdery, fluffy la tarte Tropezienne. Thank so much Vicki for your dreamy, resonant, poetic posts and for offering us the chance to stay at your beautiful home.

Vicki,

The discovery of your fabulous blog is the best Christmas present I will receive this year and I am giving to myself…thank you to Tina at The Enchanted Home for sending her readers your way! I have read about your home in St. Remy with great interest. Our daughter has moved to Zurich from the States with her British husband and our own sixth month old Princess Catherine. I have used every excuse I can drum up to get to Paris and London over the years but have never been to the South of France. My husband and I are planning to visit the kids in Switzerland sometime next year and are going to take a “honeymoon” trip to your part of the world. I will start making notes straight away. Any girl who swoons over those Hanisi flats in pink and the hair washing scene from Out of Africa is one after my heart!

Best wishes for a happy holiday!

What a stunning abode, I’d love to surprise my husband for his 50th birthday in 2017 with a trip here. We holidayed in France for the first time a couple of years and fell in love (Italy was usually our first choice) it would be great to explore another region of France

Bonjour Vicki and how lovely of you to run this contest!
Having a hubby who travels extensively and never seems to be able to use up the vacation time owing him, the thought of us spending a week in Provence, staying in your darling home sounds like heaven! (I feel as if I’ve channeled Cameron Diaz in ‘The Holiday’ writing this!)
Looking so forward to reading your posts, love the fashion illustrations. French women are taught at a young age to appreciate quality fabrics and learn what looks good on them. Just think of the time and money they save not making fashion faux pas’s! So thank-you for this fabulous list!
Going to put on ‘A Good Year’ as I prepare coq au vin for dinner, bring in wood in case this impending ice storm knocks out our power and dream of Provence!
Salut,
Joan

Have wanted to travel to Provence and stay at your beautiful Le Petit Bijou ever since you began restoring it. Finally the time came in early spring when we could make the trip. I spoke to your husband about reserving a week. Nothing available, except a short stay. As it turned out, it was for the best since we would not have been able to make the trip due to my mother’s sudden health decline. We’d be over-the-moon thrilled to be selected and stay next year!

In 1997 I fell in love with Clare. She won my heart – and broke my heart – a number of times before we worked things out. We were married in 1999 and now have three children. This year we all travelled to France… and I fell in love again. The city. The countryside. The food. The fashion. Our holiday exceeded all our expectations many times over. And so now I cannot wait to return! Could there possibly be a better way to mark 20 years of love than a week with Clare in Provence? The only difficulty would be deciding whether or not to take the kids!
