3 Things We Need To Know

3 Things We Need To Know

There are far more than 3 things we need to know.

I had the idea to start a conversation about those fashion and beauty ideas we not only want to learn more about but also those we want to share.

There is so much information to decipher and so many new discoveries to be made and none of us want to be left behind.

I believe together we are a force to be reckoned with and if the answer isn’t forthcoming one of us will surely figure it out.

Going, Going Gone: The Importance of Cleansing

Going, Going Gone: The Importance of Cleansing

Cleansing is probably my most important beauty routine.

A big statement but it is how I feel.

If my face is well cleansed I feel my skin looks brighter and I feel so much better.

Generally I am religious in my routine and give my face a thorough cleansing morning and night. The last few weeks I have not been as applied and this morning when I looked in the mirror I can see the results. Not so great.

The Perfect Bath Time

The Perfect Bath Time

It’s about now I’m looking for the relaxation and tranquility of the bath.

Although a day spent in the cold Christmas air leaves us feeling festive, it can be damaging for our skin in ways that even the best moisturiser cannot fix.

In Europe, the winter chill is well underway and there is no better remedy than sinking into a hot and delicious bath.

The “What She Wants” Gift Guide #2

The “What She Wants” Gift Guide #2

What she wants when she can have anything she wants.

As you know that’s the question I am asking when making gift suggestions.

My “inner” rule has always been two fold when it comes to gift giving.

I ask myself what would “they” really, really love and would I be excited to receive such a gift.
I reason if the answer to those questions is a resounding YES, then there lies the solution.

The 3 Best “Cover-Ups”

The 3 Best “Cover-Ups”

Holiday season has officially started.

So have my tired eyes and dark circles.

I am already searching for the concealer and working on a cover-up.

I know I should be managing my sleeping better and living life in moderation; it is a festive time and if a few dark eyes are the price then I will happily pay it.

Adding Shine And Volume

Adding Shine And Volume

Adding shine and volume to hair is something most of us try on a daily basis.

It is much harder to pump up the volume if hair is fine and straggly.

The truth is a good hair day changes the way we feel and think about ourselves and gives us an extra dose of self-confidence. I know when my hair is looking its best I feel like a different person, especially now I have given up colour in favour of the greys.

As I age I feel more and more certain that beautiful, healthy and well styled hair is one of the best beauty secrets of all.

Alone Time: Making The Most Of It

Alone Time: Making The Most Of It

Alone time: a time to enjoy or a time to dread?

Spending time alone often has bad connotations.

We can be fearful of time spent solo and see it as a sense of failure on our parts for all sorts of reasons. It is important to feel confident alone and to be able to enjoy our own company, to re-charge and embrace those elements of life we love regardless.

I didn’t always find it easy to spend time alone.

Less Is More: The Truth About Make-Up

Less Is More: The Truth About Make-Up

Less is more with make-up.

I am finding this to be the case more and more.

It’s the ageing process that is causing the conundrum. There is no denying my face requires some different attention now.

I am happy with the ageing process, I do think I have come to terms with that, but I get nervous about make-up and the application of it.

Eyes Wide Open: The Feline Flick

Eyes Wide Open: The Feline Flick

The feline flick; I’m in.

Do you ever have those days (read months) where you and the art of make-up part ways?

Where the idea of taking the time to go the extra yards is all too hard? A slash of lips and a splash of fragrance is all the enthusiasm you can muster?

The thought of concentrating, looking in a magnifying mirror and artfully applying a fabulous product is just simply, too daunting?

Thoughts of, “what if it smudges”, “will it run” or “is this ridiculous” dominate and prevent experimentation and adventure?

Do you recognise my mood?

Q & A: The 3 Top Serums?

Q & A: The 3 Top Serums?

If you ask, I will answer.

Today in a new series of Q&A, serums are the talk.

I have been asked recently which serums I prefer and why.

Serum is one of the key ingredients in my very simple beauty routine. Serum is the one product I regularly use and never leave home without.

It works for me.
