Another Beautiful Face: Pia Gronning

Another Beautiful Face: Pia Gronning

Pia Gronning, is another beautiful face.

I am immediately drawn to her style and ageless beauty.

Pia Gronning is certainly blessed with beautiful looks but what I notice in her many photographs is her natural approach.

The shades she chooses to dress in and the simplicity of her make-up against her sensational grey hair are notes we can all add to our style diaries.

Whenever I feel shaky about the length of my hair and thoughts of growing it even longer, I look at other women of mature age age with the same hair goals for encouragement.

Robin Wright: Another Beautiful Face

Robin Wright: Another Beautiful Face

Robin Right is another beautiful and very striking face.

If nothing else I would watch House of Cards to observe her wardrobe and style signature. I’m not sure how she feels about it, but Robin Wright has so totally assumed the role of Claire Underwood it is hard to imagine her in any other role.

I admire her very sophisticated look in the show and her wardrobe is so totally in character; her personal stylist, Kemal Harris has exquisite taste and understands well the definition of “power dressing”.

Stella Tennant: Another Beautiful Face

Stella Tennant: Another Beautiful Face

Stella Tennant, what a beautiful face.

She is strikingly beautiful with strong features; her slight masculine but superbly feminine look means she has the ability to model just about anything.

Stella Tennant looks very much the Brit and is oftentimes very eccentric in her work; she is one to watch and admire.

Close to 50, she is still gracing the runway and working many beautiful campaigns.

Barbra Streisand: Another Beautiful Face

Barbra Streisand: Another Beautiful Face

Barbara Streisand is another beautiful face.

I am a long time admirer of this fabulous looking woman. She is talented, super successful and I believe a woman who has aged incredibly well. Streisand has managed to retain her own signature style forever.

Ever since Funny Girl, Hello Dolly and What’s Up Doc not to mention The Way We Were (that must be the all time best chick flick ever) I have watched her movies. I realise it is her singing voice, her enormous talent with the vocals where Barbra Streisand’s fame lies, but I enjoy her movies. Two of my favourites, the less well known Prince of Tides and The Mirror Has Two Faces are worth a watch if you have not already seen them.

The Queen, Her Majesty Elizabeth II: Another Beautiful Face

The Queen, Her Majesty Elizabeth II: Another Beautiful Face

The Queen of England, her Majesty Elizabeth II has been celebrating her birthday all weekend and the country too.

London has been in full patriotic swing, despite the intermittent storms.

I declare my hand up front; I am a huge fan of the Queen and always have been.

The Queen turned 90 in April and if there is ever an inspiration for older women it is she.

Vanessa Redgrave: Another Beautiful Face

Vanessa Redgrave: Another Beautiful Face

Vanessa Redgrave is an actress I have long admired.

She has been star of the stage and screen for as long as I can remember; Camelot, the 1967 musical she starred in with Richard Harris and France Nero, stays firmly entrenched as a childhood memory.

There is a presence about Vanessa Redgrave.

Amanda Harlech: Another Beautiful Face

Amanda Harlech: Another Beautiful Face

Amanda Harlech, another very beautiful face.

She is a style leader, consultant and muse to Karl Lagerfeld.
Amanda Harlech’s style is particular, strong and quirky in the way that English women do so well.

This year I want to bring you a series of “beautiful faces’. Faces that aren’t 20 or even 30 but faces that have lived a little and faces that may be imperfect or not in the traditional mould.

We will be featuring women who can inspire us to live our beauty life with honesty and contentment and women who encourage us to be the best version of ourselves.
