We revere their style; dissect their fashion thinking and comment on them endlessly.
Sometimes I feel, enough is enough and we go too overboard in thinking the French woman has all the answers.
Of course she doesn’t.
There are beautiful women the world over rocking enviable personal styles and oftentimes we do forget about them in favour of our French icons. I try not to be biased but as France is on my doorstep and France is where I take my inspiration; the French woman is my muse.
This week I have been a little behind the pace.
A combination of jet lag and getting organised after what seems like years away.
Somehow I feel we have only just finished our holiday cheer and yet here we are in the first week of February.
If this is the beginning, 2016 is going to be a quick paced year.
It’s that holiday time of the year when time is the last thing we have for ourselves.
Ambitious plans to look our best go out the window as preparations for the holidays become gargantuan. With the best organisation in the world, the greatest of intentions and yet, I still running around feeling completely disorganised.
I have so many large and small jobs to finish before my little band of merrymakers descend on Provence that the chances of a quiet moment to glamorise myself is looking slim. Lazy afternoons watching Christmas movies will have to wait until after the 25th.
The next few days are about decorating, flowers, food and gift-wrapping.
