The Grey Diaries: How To Grow Those Longer Locks

If you want longer Locks, how do you get There? Growing hair longer, especially when the decision has been made to embrace the silver, is not as simple as it sounds. It is often accompanied by a "growing out" phase of colour and an emotional adjustment towards the grey. However brave and self-confident we are, leaving our hair well alone is not the habit of most females.

Going Grey: How To Wear It

How to wear the grey hair? We have talked the long and the short decision through before and I think it's simple. Grey hair can be any length you love and any style you want. It is more about personal preference and what suits than anything else. Once the grey is in it's not entirely set and forget. Grey requires maintenance; not as much as highlights or an all over colour but regular looking after. How to wear the grey?

The Whole Going Grey Thing

Lately the whole going grey/being grey conundrum has been on my mind. As most of you know I have been taking the leave-my-hair-alone approach for a couple of years now. Let me start our discussion by saying grey hair is not for everyone and I respect that opinion. Friends either love or hate my grey hair; on the whole most days it would seem I am winning. Going grey requires large doses of patience, a fair amount of self-confidence and a not-giving-in kind of approach.

Platinum And Pearl, Lafayette 148 New York

Platinum and Pearl, what a brilliant combination. I wasn't imagining jewels as much as colours. The mix of creamy pearl shades alongside the softest hint of grey. Not really grey, nor silver but somewhere in the middle. The lustre of the Royal tiara, with the protective cream silk ribbon and the sheen on those Courrèges boots had me searching for spring wardrobe inspiration.

Going… Going… Gone… Grey

She caught my attention.   I watched her walking around the Place des Vosges in Paris, with her son. I couldn’t help but notice her… to me, she was striking… It was her hair. On first glance, I thought she was making a statement… dipping the ends to highlight the grey… a clever way to … Continued

Hair… The Long And The Short Of It

Sometimes I go for months without really looking in the mirror… Do you know what I mean? It’s not that I don’t see… it’s that I don’t look I suddenly realised that my hair was longer than normal…quite a bit longer… Hair that was past the shoulder… that didn’t do that kick-up anymore… and hair … Continued
