Eating more fat? Sounds delicious.

The catch is not all fats are healthy.

Turmeric: The Wonder Spice

Turmeric: The Wonder Spice

Turmeric is a wonder spice.

I asked Lily all about why the hype for turmeric is so great.

Before I hand over to her, there is one element I will warn you about; the colour.

My first experience with turmeric was somewhat challenging. All I can say is the orange/yellow teeth stain which took forever to remove, was not a pretty look. Fortunately 3 toothbrushes later, it wasn’t permanent.

I must have become over excited and added to much of this wonder spice to the mix ;)

6 Ways To Clear Bright Eyes

6 Ways To Clear Bright Eyes

Clear bright eyes?

As much as holidays are about rest and relaxation they can also mean a little extra “fun” and lack of sleep. Before I left for our Greek getaway I asked Lily for some easy ways to keep eyes shiny and bright.

Eye health is something I am aware of, my mother has suffered from macular degeneration for many years and truthfully it’s one of those senses we need to be vigilant over.

It never hurts to be reminded of the natural ways we can look after ourselves. As well informed as we are, it is easy to lose track sometimes.

Here are the top 6 foods to keep eyes healthy and vision sharp.

Eat Your Way To Radiant Skin

Eat Your Way To Radiant Skin

Can we eat our way to radiant skin?

I would like to try.

Beautiful skin starts with nourishment from within.

It seems true we are what we eat so I asked Lily to simplify my choices, to give me three elements to work on.

She suggested three ways each day to focus and improve not only how my skin looks but also how I feel.

I won’t be dropping any of my skincare routines or relegating my best products to the back shelf but I will be upping my food intake with her suggestions.

The Secrets To A Healthy Heart

The Secrets To A Healthy Heart

The secrets to a healthy heart.

The heart? Do we ever really know completely what drives it? We know the physical signs and symptoms of a healthy heart but there are so many other less tangible factors that maintain and protect our hearts.

How can a heart feel broken? Sometimes it does.

How can a heart feel fit to bursting with love and happiness? It can.

If our hearts are physically healthy then we can more easily maintain our “emotional” hearts. The physical and emotional support each other and one can’t work without the other.

I asked Lily for some some practical ways to keep our hearts healthy.

I wish I felt energised and re-energised all the time but sometimes, despite best intentions, I feel sluggish.

I know we should re-boost the immune system before we need and stock up on all the necessary goodness to ward off the nasties, it makes great sense, but it is easy to forget.

I asked Lily for some reminders, an easy accessible list of ingredients to make us feel perky and sparky.

7 Natural Ways To Reduce Water Retention

7 Natural Ways To Reduce Water Retention

How to reduce water retention?

This question was front of mind to ask Lily when I saw her last week.

I have been flying quite a bit recently and have found the problem of water retention, especially after longer flights, to be a problem. Apart from the way an excess of fluid looks it makes me feel ghastly and is very uncomfortable.

I know for some water retention is never an issue but for me it has been an irritating companion for as long as I remember. I asked Lily for some natural and easy ways to help the problem. I find if a remedy is not something I can take or do easily, it doesn’t last long.

Here are her suggestions and there are at least three I can improve on.

How To Banish “Those” Cravings

How To Banish “Those” Cravings

How to banish “those” cravings?

I don’t really wish to admit to naughty cravings but I don’t think it will come as much surprise to most women.

Lily recently had an article published recently in London’s online Daily Mail and I found her tips and tricks hugely helpful, especially the “almond” one.

What I like most about Lily’s advice is it is not only practical but also easy to follow.

Here is what she says about “those” cravings,

6 Ways To Exercise When There Is No Time

6 Ways To Exercise When There Is No Time

6 ways to exercise when there is “no” time?

I would say the “no time” excuse is the big fib I tell myself too often. I know there is time but it is just so easy to prioritise everything else. Know what I mean? “No time” often means poor planning as well as a dose of reluctance.

We do know small bursts of exercise can boost mood, increase confidence, relieve stress, improve health, and keeps us trim.

Lily thought of 6 ways to exercise when there is “no time” to exercise.

My score 3/6. How did you do?
