The Manta Resort, Tanzania

“There is something about safari life that makes you forget all your sorrows and feel as if you had drunk half a bottle of champagne – bubbling over with heartfelt gratitude for being alive.” – Karen Blixon

I can very easily picture myself now, champagne in hand, after a dusty day in the African sun, hopefully having encountered some of the creatures unique to Africa.

Can you guess what is next on my list?

The “Underwater Room” at the Manta Resort in Tanzania. The Underwater Room is a three story suite floating 250 meters off shore in the Indian Ocean, with the bedroom submerged 4 meters below the water. Windows on every wall provide an amazing 360 degree view of sea life and the underwater coral reef. Imagine sleeping beneath the surface of the ocean surrounded by tropical reef fish and brilliant sea creatures gently illuminated by spotlight.
