The trench has made a re-appearance.
This jacket probably never went very far but from my observations, the trench is walking out and about big time. Not so much the exact classic but a less structured, mac style in a softer fabric and an even more voluminous version. I have seen it worn over dresses, sweats and the tailored. What I love is the look of a classic with the very casual underneath.
My trenches – a black and a beige were always staples in my travel pieces – seem to have disappeared into the daughter’s wardrobes or lost amongst my myriad of moves. I miss them. Wearing a trench made me feel like my fashion game was intact and even if my mood or my underneath weren’t too sparky, the overlay of this coat made all the difference.
