Is there a perfect red lipstick?
On a recent trip, I forgot to pack my red lips. Good matte red lipstick was required for nearly all my evening dressing so on a stopover in Hong Kong I stocked up. There are more make-up counters per square metre in the shopping malls than anything else. As an aside the HK girls are very stylish and beautifully made up – natural but many wearing a red lip. Beautiful skin and fabulous hair can make red an easy option.
Too much choice can be overwhelming and nowhere more so than HK. When I saw the familiar Giorgio Armani I stopped looking. I have never worn these lipsticks but have been a fan of the tinted moisturisers for some time.
Have you tried Rouge D’Armani Matte in 403?
No, but I did and can honestly say it’s a sensation.
403 is easy to apply, stays within the lines and has a beautiful matte finish. I apply and blot, apply and blot three times and this way even with eating and drinking the colour still looks quite vibrant. I loathe when I am left with a lipstick ring around my mouth, like a bad tea stain in my favourite mug. Not going there.
If a new matte red is on your agenda or you simply want to brighten your day; this is the one. xv
