On weekends, it’s A different kind of dressing.
Relaxed an easy replace the faster pace of the weekday. This is where silk pants come in. Silk pants sound formal but they can be incredibly casual and easy to work into the wardrobe. There is something about mixing textures when we wear silk that cuts the dressier aspect. I was reluctant at first but last year I found a pair to love and since then they have become a summer go-to for me. A wider style they work with a small heel like these or with my traditional white sneakers.
Why Do We Love Them?
This lightweight, luxurious material can adapt to most body shapes. A wider silk leg works well for a larger frame – the best coverup for a generous thigh – wearing wide leg, light-coloured silk pants is pure pleasure. A narrow style of trouser is perfect for a finer frame.
Wide leg silk pants worn during the day with a tee / cropped sweater on top and your most comfortable summer flat will go most places.
Think they serve the same purpose as jeans but so, so much more comfortable. They aren’t as impractical as we assume and work as well with sneakers in the day as they do for a night out.
Don’t be shy to wear contrasts. Swap fabrics – cotton and linen work equally as well with silk as they do with denim.
Silk pants are one to try. They can fit in no matter where your weekend plans take you.
