Check In And Check Out

Maybe it’s the holidays but I have an inkling for more tartan.

Yes, to the tartan pants but I’m taking it a step further and looking for a tailored suit and even a casual overcoat.

Tartan is the best; It’s a turn up from the pinstripes and flannels.

Depending on how we style tartan, it can be as elegant as all black. If we downplay, it can double as fun weekend wear.

Like all patterns, it’s about scale.

On some, fire-engine red or yolk yellow patterns look amazing. That’s not me. I prefer a more subdued and classic check.

The idea of a masculine plaid with a very feminine blouse and blazer is a look I love and it’s also a very easy style to wear. The cut of a blazer and pants is figure-flattering, while the accent of femininity form the blouse takes it to a new level.

Check them together or check out in one; either way, it’s tartan time.

Oh, I love this fresh face look and I’ve often worn it and I can still get away with it! Tartan….oh how I love it and it always make me feel like a school girl, crisply dressed and ready for the day!

Hugs to you Vicki. I really appreciate and treasure you!
