Craving Cashmere

Brigitte Bardot - Google Images

It was seriously cold at times in the Kalahari and fortunately I had my cashmeres with me…

Apart from my favourites from J.Crew I recently bought a couple from Iris & Ink.

I wasn’t sure what to expect… but let me say they are the finest, were the warmest and looked great with cargos and jeans…

The Outnet has recently had a new shipment…

If you are in the mood to update your cashmere… Have a browse… xv

What a wonderful photo of BB and she looks so current in her print pants, cashmere sweater and ballet flats. Effortlessly chic! I’ve just popped over to The Outnet and I’m certainly tempted by the selection.

Oh Vicki, how exciting to get a comment from you, from AFRIQUE! I just finished here at home writing out la dictée for my seniors; how I love to teach French and all the linguistic elements that make up such a gorgeous language. Thank you for visiting from so far away and wishing you a safe and pleasant trip back en France…Anita

Knew it would be chilly there – early mornings and then the evenings! Cashmere sweaters are my go to tops in Winter – light and warm and make one feel kinda posh and casual at the same time. Good for travel so I’m getting mine out soon as I prepare for a my big birthday trip to a cooler climate. Love some of those sweaters on Outnet – glad they are now making cashmere in more modern cuts such as the ‘boyfriend’ style.

Hope you’re rested up by now Vicki – more Africa pics coming soon perhaps? Hope so.
Hugs – Mary

Oh, yes! I was thinking the same thing Vicki. I always go to basic black though since cashmere last forever and you never tire of a black sweater. Cozy, soft, warm but never too hot or heavy. I’m going to check out J Crew. I’m now sorting through my fall/winter and purging. It feels great.

I love Bardot photos.

I am a little allergic to wool so I’m grateful for cashmere. And the thin fabric allows me to use any jacket.

Dear Vicki, I am still dreaming of your adventuresome journey!
When will you write an auto-biography of your fascinating life?!
Cashmere, so soft, so luxurious, and importantly, so warm!

Oooh I was so happy to have brought one (one!) cashmere turtleneck with me while we were away in the mountains. It was 8° in the evening! Such a big difference from Arles even though it is relatively close–not like the Kalahari! I loved following along with your adventures when I could and am still getting caught up but we are definitely on the same page–I was so pleased to wear jeans today and not a linen skirt!

Cashmere is always in style. I loved clicking on your links, some very beautiful pieces. I am a huge fan a JCrew cashmere, frankly in the winter all one needs is a couple cashmere sweaters, a nice cashmere robe, and a cashmere throw for reading.

Thanks for sharing your beauty with the world, I love visiting here!
