We’ve BEEN Hunting Down the Best Eyeshadows.
Eyeshadow can be the finishing touch to a makeup look; the pièce de résistance, the crème de la crème.
A simple dab of pigment can dramatically change the face. It can brighten, draw attention and soften with little effort or artistic flair. It may be the one piece in the makeup bag we cannot go without or use for special occasions.
Based on ease, opacity and flair we’ve hunted down our dream list.
The Best Eyeshadows
Laura Mercier’s Caviar Stick Eye Colour is incredibly easy to use. A simple glide, smudge and dab is all we need to create instantly beautiful lids. If a lover of the smokey eye, this is a go-to makeup product to create the ultimate makeup look. Burnished bronze and cashmere are our favourite everyday shades. Or try their bestseller, tuxedo, for the smokiest eyes.
Charlotte Tilbury has always reigned supreme for us at VA. Her gorgeous products always guarantee a stunning finish and a Hollywood-like outcome. The Pillowtalk Luxury Eyeshadow Palette features four harmonious shades which can be used solo or all at once for a desk-to-dinner look. Use with a blender blush for the best finish.
The Phyto-Eye Twist from Sisley Paris is incredibly helpful as it’s also an eyeshadow, pencil and line in one. We adore its simplicity but also its staying power. Apply it directly to the lids for a bold statement, or blur it out to make it less opaque. For a graphic look, use the liner to accentuate the lash line. The khaki and copper shades are our go-to’s.
For an even bolder look, the Shadow Extreme by Tom Ford does exactly what it says on the tin. They’re extremely intense but absolutely wonderful. The shades are all also light reflective making them a gorgeous statement for the day and the night. The khaki green and teal tones are both delightful.
Whether you’re looking for a touch of sunshine for the daytime or a striking evening look, these eyeshadows are the ones.
Swipe and go, they’re waiting for us.
