It’s Time to Break Up With Your Makeup Routine

Sometimes A break up can be Just what we need.

It’s easy to get stuck in a rut when it comes to makeup.

We have our daily routines, our all-time go-to’s and our evening look essentials.

As the days are longer and the sun is shining brighter, it’s fun to have a switch up and try new things.

If you’re in the mood for an overhaul,

Switch the Nude Lip to a Bright

A pop of colour on the lips could be all that’s needed to transform an outfit.

Jeans and a white tee never looked so good with a bright lip to seal the deal.

Pinks will suit most skin tones, and we’ve got our eyes on this one.

Swap the Blush

Like lipstick, a flush of colour on the cheeks can brighten complexions and illuminate a rosy glow, ideal for the summer months.

A powdered blush will give the perfect finish and this one, is a VA favourite.

Try a Khaki Eyeshadow

Nudes, creams and greys are a go-to for the eyes. But what about khaki?

It goes with all eye colours and the subtle change in shade can immediately update.

Try this one, for easy application and instant impact.

Breaking up with your makeup routine isn’t as drastic as it sounds. Swapping classic shades for brighter tones is a fun way to inject a bit of summer into our beauty cabinet.

These simple changes don’t need to happen at once; try one at a time to test the waters and don’t be shy.

A makeup breakup is the best breakup and nothing but fun.

Jeans and a T always look good and now that school is over, I’m ready for this go-to wardrobe choice and topped off of course, with a bright red lipstick!

I also agree with the pink tones for the mature woman. I caught a glimpse of myself one day wearing a pale pink shirt that suited my complexion and thought, “This is it. This is the happy color for my aging self.” Oh Vicki, I love your ideas!
