Feeling The Cocoon

FEELING COCOONED IS RATHER A GOOD SENSATION.

The cocoon shape is one I really love in a coat.

I like the way oftentimes the sleeves are a little shorter and I especially find the ever so slight balloon effect in the back to be most flattering.

The cocoon coat is barely different from a straight coat but the small difference makes all the difference.


For those of us with a more pear-shaped anatomy, this coat is particularly flattering.

Style Notes: The Difference Between A Good Outfit And A Great Outfit


Getting dressed each day means so much choice.

Too much choice or not enough are equal disasters when it comes to the morning.


I want to get ready with the least amount of effort and in super quick time; I also want to make sure I look the best I can.
We all want that but it is easy to have those days where it all goes slightly wrong.


I don’t think I ever leave the house with the idea to look less well presented than I should – a bad outfit day is never intentional and yet I have days where it goes pear-shaped.

Check It Out: Playing With Plaid


I have checked it out. Plaid I mean.

I have a few thoughts on the plaids and the tartans, as like the shearling and faux furs there is much plaid playing out this season.


Yes, I like it but like all good things a little bit can go a long way.

Unlike the gorgeous Chanel models I can’t see me wearing plaid from head to toe, unless I audition for a part in Outlander and this late in the game Catriona Balfe need not fear.

Silver is the all-star grey shade I’m hopeful for.

The all over silver to be more precise and if I could dip my locks to be instantly platinum, sleek and shiny,
I might even succumb.
