I asked Lily all about why the hype for turmeric is so great.
Before I hand over to her, there is one element I will warn you about; the colour.
My first experience with turmeric was somewhat challenging. All I can say is the orange/yellow teeth stain which took forever to remove, was not a pretty look. Fortunately 3 toothbrushes later, it wasn’t permanent.
I must have become over excited and added to much of this wonder spice to the mix ;)
Is there such a thing? I mean, has detoxing ever been simple?
Lily tells me there are certain foods to aid detox and they are easy and delicious to incorporate in our diets. The more I learn from Lily, the more I see a pattern emerging. There are some foods we can’t avoid and we shouldn’t.

I askedLilyfor some some practical ways to keep our hearts healthy.
This question was front of mind to ask Lily when I saw her last week.
I have been flying quite a bit recently and have found the problem of water retention, especially after longer flights, to be a problem. Apart from the way an excess of fluid looks it makes me feel ghastly and is very uncomfortable.
I know for some water retention is never an issue but for me it has been an irritating companion for as long as I remember. I asked Lily for some natural and easy ways to help the problem. I find if a remedy is not something I can take or do easily, it doesn’t last long.
Here are her suggestions and there are at least three I can improve on.
I would say the “no time” excuse is the big fib I tell myself too often. I know there is time but it is just so easy to prioritise everything else. Know what I mean? “No time” often means poor planning as well as a dose of reluctance.
We do know small bursts of exercise can boost mood, increase confidence, relieve stress, improve health, and keeps us trim.
Lily thought of 6 ways to exercise when there is “no time” to exercise.
