Is the maxi skirt.
A little bohemian and a touch of the relaxed in a blouse is a spring summer wardrobe addition that I favour.
The boyfriend and girlfriend jeans are the perfect accessories for a pretty shirt. The tee shirt with tailored jacket is a fabulous look but occasionally and especially on the weekends I like to wear something softer, more feminine.
I think we called them, peasant blouses; I have always liked the style and especially when worn with a looser fitting jean.
Boyfriends and girlfriends, I am talking jeans.
About time: That strange concept that drives absolutely everything in our lives.
How many bangles can we wear at any one time?
I don't think there is a limit, do you?
I have always worn bangles ever since I can remember, like earrings they are part of my personal style. I wear them stacked, mixed and in no particular order. As they come on and off they find their own place.
I remove them at night, leave them on the dressing table and then muddle them all over again the next day.
They are fun like that; no rules, no reason.
Bangles are collectibles without limit, no age restrictions or body pre-requisites apply.
Don't you love that?
Pearls, pearls and more pearls.
As Mother's Day approaches, I am reminded of something my mother would say to me.
Vintage style floral dresses have always resonated with me.
M. Givenchy must have felt the same when he dressed Audrey Hepburn in the 1957 film, Funny Face.
The denim love affair continues.
I have long been an admirer of Emmanuelle Alt and her simple fashion style.
She manages to look the part of a fashionista without ever looking overly dressed or too much on trend.
Emmanuelle Alt wears denim well and as denim, worn separately or together, is making the rounds big time I thought she was the person to draw inspiration from.
There is a symphony of sneakers in my wardrobe. Sneaker protocol has changed and one pair no longer seems enough.
I am on the fringe about the fringe.
Everywhere I turn I am confronted by a flare and tormented by a tassle.
I don't feel the 70's were my favourite fashion moment so I am seriously considering whether to buy into it or not.
Do you find yourself liking the same pieces over and over, despite the season, despite the fashion?
I do.
Sometimes when I open my wardrobe doors and see a line of what looks like the same jacket hanging one after the other I take myself to task and promise myself I will change tack.
Why can't I try another style?
Is one ever enough, when it comes to brooches and pins?
Years ago I would add a variety of brooches to a jacket. I would stick the lapels with as many pins as I could find. The only rule was that one was never enough, the beauty and the fun was about the multitude of sparkle and colour that adorned a plain jacket.
The key is khaki this season.
Army green never looked so well and I for one am a fan.
There is one key piece that will update your wardrobe this season.
It is super feminine, ultra gorgeous and will put you in the best of moods.
