The Lace Tee: A Not So Basic, Basic

Sometimes we forget the basics.

We shouldn’t.

Basics or essentials are those pieces at hand, ready when we are and ones that work on repeat. They are the answers or part solutions to the what-to-wear conundrum and they are the wardrobe basics we love. Generally, the words comfort and flatter come to mind.

Most of us would consider the tee shirt as a basic, a non-negotiable on our essentials list. There is one addendum to this, the lace tee.

The lace tee works like a regular tee but adds the plus we like.

Lace tees have been a basic/essential in my wardrobe for years. A simple shape and pretty detail works alone or underneath a jacket. They work with jeans; they work with a pair of tuxedo trousers. Add a camisole for daywear or brave it up with a lace bra underneath for evening glam.

The lace tee is a simple solution when the plain doesn’t cut it. xv

Oh, I’m loving this….I had the most GORGEOUS lace T and wore it until it fell apart to the point of no return. You have me thinking I need to go out soon to get a few more!

They are such an easy option for the wardrobe and really make a pair of jeans or trousers into something đź‘Ś

Vicki, these are also great under a tuxedo jacket for evening. Effortless! I have one in black and one in white, both crew necked and short sleeved. As I recall I bought them at Zara. I didn’t spend much and they’re washable.

Never thought of a lace tee. I’m on the hunt now for a fitted lace tee to dress up jeans. Vicki, you are an inspiration!
