The Right ‘Equipment’

collage vicki archer - google imagesMiranda Kerr has the sense of style that I admire…

She is definitely chic, timeless in much of her taste and makes her fashion choices appear effortless.

One item that she wears well and wears over is the Equipment shirt…

I wear them… loose over skinny jeans… tucked into a pair of boyfriend’s… and with tailored black pants.

I like the loose fit, the vintage feel to the silk… I love the pockets and the designers get the colours just right…

They are another ‘go to’ when I don’t want to think about ‘what to’.

We all need the right, ‘equipment’… xv

I agree – Amanda’s got ‘it’. I have always been thin, esp. on my upper body, and that style has always worked for me to give a better sense of fullness, balance. Now that I’m older, it still works, to disguise the little side pudge (aka muffin top) that has mysteriously appeared ;). The great thing is it can be worn loose, tucked, or with a belt, and looks/feels great all three ways.

Good morning, Vicki! These shirts have been making a beautiful scene out here where I live, and I am enjoying the freedom that they offer: the freedom to wear them with a pair of shorts and boots (what I’ve been sporting lately and lovin’ it!) or with a pair of jeans. The casual elegance works especially well when you add the ACCESSORIES! I even enjoy going out to the market and dress up a little with such an ensemble, and add a bit of sparkle. You never know; it could make SOMEONE’S day a little brighter!

LOVE THIS POST! Anita (thank you for visiting my horse post.)

Love the idea with shorts… cute… although I am afraid me and shorts aren’t too good together …:)

Great minds think alike! ;-) I just purchased that Equipment shirt in leopard print. (Though with my short stature, I’ll wear more as a tunic.) I love how she’s paired with the cat-eye sunglasses. Very Modern Retro.

Miranda looks great from her skinny jeans to that perfectly cut hair. The white equipment shirt is a timeless piece, also like the animal prints. She is truly an inspiration, no matter what one’s age.

I agree that her look is not only elegant but timeless also… She always looks well groomed… and that’s what it’s all about… :)

Those tops are gorgeous, Vicki. The sheer look is really in right now. Is it okay to just wear a bra under though? If we’re ahem, not Miranda Kerr that is. I love a leopard print and mysteriously have none in my wardrobe. I must go shopping.

I think it depends what the underneath looks like… ;)
A camisole hides a multitude and still looks great with sheers…

Miranda always looks gorgeous – I think it is all that healthy living!
Equipment shirts are beautifully cut, which is not immediately apparent on the hanger.

They do look a little shapeless on the hanger but I agree… once they are on they look great… and suit most..

Vicki I do love this look. I used to think blouses were so uncomfortable and restricted. Now I love the sheers, the blowsy silks, so many styles to wear tucked in or out!

Have to agree with Sue’s comment about her looking good in a sack cloth…’tis so true! She brings a life to everything she wears, let alone a stylish life. Although I don’t generally like the bra through the sheer top look much..but she can pull it off without looking vampish. Not so easy! x

She is beautiful without question… but in an understated elegant way… and that is what I find refreshing… so many celebrities today look like fashion victims not role models…

She really has got it! A true sense of style yet she doesn’t look like she has tried too hard either – something I always admire. White and beige has been a favourite combination of mine for a long time and I love the cut and length of the beige trousers with the black heels too.
