The “What I Want” Gift Guide #1: Dear Santa

Presents for friends, presents for family, presents for the hostess. What about presents for me?

We get carried away by the Christmas spirit and we think about everyone but ourselves. And that is priceless. Kindness is fabulous.

But do you know what else is? Self-care. And Pink.

This gift guide is about us and the presents we would love to receive. This year, there will be a lot of pink with our name tags on it, under the Christmas tree.

We like our wardrobes stylish, but we like our houses stylish too. This Carolla Frida Floral-Print Cushion is meticulously crafted by Indian artisans and printed with intricate floral motifs to add an artistic touch to the living room. Pink in my living room? Yes, please.

Ok, this one we want before the 25th, so we can steal the show at the Christmas party. Inspired by Royal Academician painter Laura Knight in the 1940s, the Erdem Beaded Mikado Knee-Length Dress is the definition of glamour. The floral accents are wonderful, the colour – angelic and the satin lining gives it a timeless sophistication.

We would never miss a chance to get a new bag. Especially a bubblegum-pink leather one. This Manser Gavriel Bag is the perfect pop of colour to add to an outfit. So pretty we would use it as decoration for our Christmas tree too if we could.

‘Cashmere anything is a win.’ Cashmere in pink is a double win. This Crewneck Sweater hits that perfect spot between decadent softness, elegance and daring colour. ‘If I find one of these in my Santa sack I will be very happy.’

Wearing good PJ’s is an absolute non-negotiable for V.A. Hammered Satin Pyjamas in dreamy blush pink is our secret to making weekend lounging a fancy event.

We don’t like our beverages to be boring. The solution? This mesmerizing Luisa Beccaria Set of Two Pink and Purple Gradient Glasses. We predict it will be a lot easier to drink our 2 litres of water a day in these beauties.

Though we love the holiday season, we are already dreaming of sun, sand and cocktails on the beach. We are also dreaming of this rich-pink Palm Springs Swimsuit styled with accessories and beachy waves. We are doing Santa a favour too asking for swimsuits in winter because they are all on sale.

Thinking ahead is what keeps us on our feet. With all the delicious foods and drinks we’ll have this Christmas, we are already planning our workout in January. And to motivate ourselves we want these iconic Nike Air Sneakers in (you guessed it) pink.

Just because it’s winter, it doesn’t mean we’ve stopped wearing sunglasses. A look doesn’t get any more put together than with a pair of cool sunglasses to complete it. This Christmas we want to shine brighter than fairy lights in the La Dolce Vita Iridescent Pink Sunglasses, which sparkle in the sunlight.

Who says we should only get all pampered when we go out? We like to look and feel chic in our homes too. For that, we need Santa to bring us the Preen by Thornton Bregazzi Floral-Print Satin Robe. Can you even get chicer than marshmallow-pink satin?

That cashmere sweater is a lovely colour: soft, without being too bubble gum. That would take you well into spring too!

The colour pink makes me go weak at the knees! I love it every hue- so flattering for all complexions.
I think it goes back to my sister and I always being dressed in matching dresses, mine was always baby blue and hers was pink!! I’ve indulged myself in pink ever since! I wear it, decorate the house with it- (pink ticking striped sheets), own what might be called an unseemly number of pink lipsticks (Estee Lauder “Proven Innocent” my current fave) and it goes without saying, blowsy pink roses in the garden- just heavenly!
Thank you Vicki- a pink cashmere jumper- perfect!

Oh Vicki, PINK is the color for me this year! Every single item you are showcasing here would be most welcomed under my tree!
