Fleet jacket, army jacket, Field Jacket, camouflage jacket; whatever the name, I need a new one.
If there is one piece in my wardrobe to justify my, “cost per wear’ philosophy it is this one.
I wear this style of jacket in a series of weights over just about everything. This season I have seen the embroidery trend take the lead over the brass buttons and the more simple camouflage style; I still like the military feel of an oversized button and equally I find the simple version extremely wearable.
The model above has styled hers with a dress and sneakers, a heavier look than I am after for now but the principle works. I can see the lighter fleet jacket working perfectly with my latest crush on the shirtdress.
I found one in particular, on sale which I think is a perfect addition to the wardrobe if you don’t have one already. If you prefer a more embellished and adventurous option, this one is a keeper.
Fleet Jackets are one of the ageless win / win staples for our wardrobes.
If you are uneasy about wearing leather then this coat is the perfect substitute; leather is always a winner in my eyes but I know not everybody feels comfortable cloaked in the biker style.
This nipped in shape particularly flatters a rounded figure and of course a slim hipped body will look fabulous.
One jacket I will never be without is this one. Yes, definitely wanted. xv
