Weekend Wardrobe: The Sweater Dress

The sweater dress, a faithful contender, when it comes to weekend dressing.

I love a sweater dress for my weekend wear and for my travels. It’s an easy choice and a great midseason option. Mine teams up with sneakers, more and more; the sneakers take me out and about and when I am home I swap them for my most comfortable mules.

What I like about a sweater dress is the way it can look elegant and casual at the same time. It also covers but I don’t find them bulky. I prefer those with sleeves as I generally don’t need to wear a jacket with mine – if I do it will most likely be my leather one.

This style of dress works great with a cross body bag if you don’t want to tie the waist. Giving the definition you need without emphasising any unwanted middle. A V-neck style suits those with longer body shape or when we want to accessorise the neck.

Both these dresses look wonderful with plenty of arm candy; both in easy wearing shades.

Dress + Accessories+ Shoes: Winning with this weekend wardrobe. xv

This is the perfect go-to-lunch dress in the early spring, when it’s still a bit cool but SUNNY and promising. OH Vicki, you get it right every time!

Vicki, I never thought of using a cross body bag as a sort of “belt” to define the waist. Great idea! I’ve also taken another peek in the box at my mules. Maybe I just need to practice walking in them. They do seem right for now. I’ll give them another try😉.

Good idea Michelle, mules do take a bit of practice I guess but once you get the hang of it… no stopping you :)

whether summer or winter this is a basic in a wardrobe. And the best, you can dress it
up our down with the right pair of shoes and accessories. b.t.w. do you no longer
