There are two things about this.
Yes, Chanel jackets now and forevermore but also the winter white.
I don’t mind if it’s all white, a mix of creams or with the addition of detail. There is something about winter white that creates the appearance of lux on every count – whether it’s catwalk couture pieces like above or whether a simple and elegant puffer jacket.
Winter white looks more than the part.
Like white jeans, I almost prefer wearing these shades of light in the darker months.
Do you like the addition of some winter white for the festive season?
I’m thinking of going top to bottom but it’s also a wonderful mix with camel, grey, khaki or black. A formal jacket is probably not where I will head with my winter white shopping – I’m thinking either white jeans or some corduroys, maybe even the velvet pants, a pretty blouse and a relaxed style jacket.
Then there is the whole chunky sweater in winter white with jeans or a sweat style pant. Add a pair of trainers or lace-up boots and a whole new look is on. Building up pieces, mixing and matching them and making the casual and comfortable into something interesting is what makes fashion fun. Working with what we have or adding a style or two can open up a whole new way of dressing. This year I am ready for that. xv
Here’s what I am thinking.
Number One
mirabella pintuck blouse + white jeans + range tweed jacket or this puffer
Number Two
ruffle neck silk blouse + white jeans + cashmere cardigan
Number Three
cable knit sweater + velvet pants + veja sneakers
