Le Bourg Tibourg is a favourite Parisian hotel of mine in the Marais… I love the over the top Jacques Garcia decor. The hotel is small, it’s intimate and it feels like the kind of home I would adore to have but would never be brave enough to live in.
The interiors are busy, they are full and they are puffed. They are colourful and welcoming.
The lighting is soft and the scent of the Costes candles, delicious.
The ambience is delightful.
The spaces might be small but they are cosy and comfortable, never crowded and as for the location, totally wonderful.
Open the door, step out on to the pavement and the pulse of Paris awaits.
The challenge to design small spaces and make them useable, friendly and attractive is what the Bourg Tibourg does so well, every square inch is beautified and useable.
This tiny courtyard with it’s chinese red walls, lush palms, running water and fresh roses is my favourite place to sit, to wait… to stop.
Can you tell I am loving this little sojourn in Paris… xv
