It’s that crazy day of the year, Black Friday 2015 when all the stores are on sale.
I have spent hours and hours perusing online to find the best deals and the one clear light bulb moment I have had is that we need strategy.
Without a good sale shopping strategy and a few rules we won’t save and we will make expensive mistakes.
Strategic Thinking
* Buy only what you know you want.
*Buy as if the item is full price, meaning you would be prepared to pay full odds, so that any reductions are truly genuine.
*Buy what you know works; save adventure for another day.
*Take advantage of the prices and replace the classics.
*Buy only if you need or love an item more than the one at home.
This is my newest strategy and it is working well for me. If I don’t feel a piece is better than one I already own then I need to keep searching. It is so easy to buy over and over the same style and oftentimes we find what is in the wardrobe is far superior.
The Rules
* If a new item hasn’t been worn within 3 days it is unlikely to be; no excitement over something new in the first three days then euphoria is unlikely to strike.
If 7 days are up and you haven’t worn it then it must be returned.
After 14 days and there have been no outings, the newest purchase could be considered a mistake; hopefully it can be sent back.
