Having two daughters is the best.
Sometimes I pinch myself because I can’t believe my good fortune and add into the mix one fabulous son; I am a lucky woman.
This weekend was all about girls though; as girls will be girls and girls in New York we found it irresistible to avoid the shops. What is it about travelling that makes everything seem so much more attractive than it does at home? The same pieces are all the more compelling in an unfamiliar environment. It has to be said, as much as I do love the London and Paris experience, New York knows how to do a great store and as for the customer service; it still floors me. I could get used to this.
The last girl’s weekend I enjoyed was with my eldest daughter and this time I had the pleasure of the two of them. Double trouble became triple trouble very quickly. V was on the hunt for sunglasses, vintage with a retro influence. I had already succumbed to a new pair a few weeks ago as had E so it was only fair that we found another pair.
She fell for the Cat’s Eye. It suits her.
They are kind of quirky like her. I did try on the 50mm Retro in tortoiseshell and was seriously tempted; the coloured arms were hard to resist. As for tortoiseshell, I have always been a huge fan.
And the rounds; what do you think of these? Cute, I thought. She still preferred the Cat’s Eyes.
If you like a little vintage, fancy the retro and prefer a cover-up, these are for you. xv.
