It’s sweltering in France, I mean really, really hot.
The days are blue and beautiful and the temperatures in the high 30’s plus.
Too hot means plenty of hours to sneak peak the Nordstrom Anniversary sale that starts officially tomorrow. We have discussed the way to approach sales before and as I browsed this one I felt that our rules still apply.
Sales can make you crazy; it is easy to buy too much that you don’t really need and would never take home at full price.
That’s the first stumbling block.
Then there is too much choice, which only confuses and makes decision making a chore. I narrow my choices by category. I only look at the items I know I need or those that need refreshing.
I don’t try and be super creative during sales. It is not the time to change the wardrobe; sales merchandise very rarely offers the season’s latest piece that you really want. Why would they?
I’m looking for genuine savings so I stay close to the classics.
Today’s edit includes those pieces I will be stocking up on with the advantage of discounted prices.
Tomorrow, it might be time for a little black dress addition.
