Blush pink that is.
Lately, I have been seeing blush pink in all the new season’s pieces. I love it.
Blush pink is gentle to the skin and mixes beautifully with our favourite classics. What better combination than a soft rosy pink and a hard-hitting black? Then there is the palest blush posed against a creamy backdrop – a winner too. All blush pink can look beautiful, especially as an evening ensemble. Think the softest pale rose dress co-ordinated with a simple pump; it is an outfit to wear pretty much anywhere your mood takes you.
Soft pinks are no longer exclusively for bridesmaids or mother of the bride – they have made a break from the wedding chapel and have very much hit the high street.
I want to add some casual blush pink to my wardrobe this winter – and I was thinking sweaters and sneakers would be a great place to start. I’m also partial to the idea of a faux pink jacket. Not a big investment but something fun to wrap up in and warm up the doldrums when they come – they usually find me early January.
Blush pink is a flattering option with the grey or going grey hair – always front of mind. When we change hair colour, everything moves and going natural is no different. Some of the familiar works and some don’t. Wearing the greys and the blacks, the khakis and the naturals is a win/win but I felt like stretching the boundaries and finding a “new” natural. Blush pink is it. xv
Here is what I am thinking
Blouses and sweaters in this rosy shade work with the formal and informal separates. I can see a pale cashmere over tailored trousers and I can see a soft and sensual silk blouse with a pair of jeans. Then I would flip it around and wear the cashmere with jeans and the silk with the structured pants.
