Christmas is very much in the air.
Have you finished shopping? Are the stocking fillers ready to go?
My challenge every year is to make the Santa sacks, the Christmas stockings as fun as I can. It doesn’t matter how old my children are, they still feel the holidays aren’t the holidays without them.
Mine always include many of the same items – some variety of sweets and chocolates, coloured pencils, a set of notecards or a notebook and a best seller. Apart from those bits, I work around a theme. This year’s stocking fillers are predominately red.
The decorations in Piccadilly – red reigned supreme – gave me the lead, I simply followed suit.
All things red, here we come.
Cutest beanie with a pom, pom because who doesn’t love a pom pom.
Red checked flannel pyjamas for everyone – Christmas breakfast attire.
Cashmere to stay warm and cosy.
One hand-made ornament to add to the collection.
Live, Love and Laugh notebook – love and laughter, greatest gifts.
Lip pencil, Lip Gloss and Ruby Woo – the trifecta of reds.
Hanky Panky signature lace shorts, because I always do.
The tartan of all tartan shirts – country weekends coming up.
An English dose of Penhaligon’s – the most delicious of all.
Seal the Santa sack with a glass alphabet ornament.
I’m nearly there. How about you? xv
