The weekend wardrobe has become much the same as the weekday wardrobe.
Once upon a time, I felt there was a difference; for me, the weekends meant a more casual pairing of pieces after a week of the tailored and “dressy”. That’s changed for the moment and even though the sweats have taken a rest, the days and what to wear blend in. During our lockdown, I started dressing up on a Friday and then that extended to Sundays; now pretty much every day runs on a whim.
My last “sale edit” is pretty much running on a whim too.
My theory behind this edit is simple; if I can stock up on these at a reduced price I will.
Here’s What I’m Thinking
I can’t have enough of these shapers, maybe not the prettiest underwear we ever wear but there are times when these are the only ones to wear.
When the shapers aren’t on I like these high-waist numbers from Chantelle and Hanky Panky.
A simple black dress never goes astray and this sleeveless one and in particular this shirtdress are all-season winners.
These ballet flats, reminiscent of The Row are fabulous. What about the cherry red? I like the idea with all black.
Don’t forget the sweaters – sale time is always the time to replace these. This one, black pants and those cherry flats would look cute.
Or this white bell sleeve sweater with white jeans?
A mixed selection for sure but life’s a bit like that right now. xv
