About this time in the summer I start my orange crush.
Blame it on the heat.
Orange is one of those colours that work brilliantly in the summer. It is one of those colours that everyone compliments. It is one of those colours that make me feel happy.
It is exclusively a summer wear for me but when I can it is my go-to shade .
The orange lip is like summer’s equivalent of a great red. The same impact but a little more playful. I have been wearing “so chaud” lips every day and while the wild hair might be a torment, the orange lipstick has saved the day.
Orange looks fabulous whether you are bronzed or pale. Bronzed like Giselle obviously helps but it is one of those colours that is kind to many skin types. My favourite dress this summer is a bright orange caftan style from Miguelina. I have worn it nearly every day alternating with a much loved Mexican style caftan.
Then there are espadrilles, this summer the shoe-du-jour.
Lace espadrilles go that little bit extra, especially in orange. I have worn mine with black, with white and with denim when the days have permitted.
