White on white is a winner.
Especially when you mix it with varied textures. I never was convinced about a white jean but these days I like them even more. They can look fabulous even if you aren’t skinny Minnie, which I am not, it is all in what you wear with them. I particularly love a white jean, slightly above ankle worn with a simple knit style sweater. The slightly baggy one to cover the bottom but show the legs off in front; an old-fashioned almost masculine style sweater. Don’t forget the men’s department for these – men’s sweaters are a great shape and simply size down. I normally take one size down from my normal, depending on how baggy I want the look to be.
I’m finding inspiration within the wardrobe and also looking for ideas to be slightly more casual than my normal Monday-Friday outfits. I’m working alone at home and don’t have the need to be super dressed up right now. I feel as if life will fall into two wardrobe categories from now on; either super formal for an evening out or the at-home pieces which are so much more relaxed.
The same look can work with a slightly oversized tee or a man style white shirt – even. more dressed up blouse takes the jean up a notch. For now, in these murky weather days, I love the cosy of the knit. xv
p.s the awful happened on Friday and my Instagram was hacked so, for now, I cannot access @vickiarcher; I’ll be playing here until I get it sorted.
