The khaki one.
This season I keep coming back to my most loved and useful pieces. Is it a question of knowing myself and understanding what I need and like or is it about certain pieces not getting old? I believe it is both. The season’s fashion has not overwhelmed me with excitement and yes, I know what works and what I like.
My khaki jacket needs an update.
I wear khaki so often and always for travelling. It’s like a uniform that keeps on keeping on. I might get tired of wearing it but the problem is the khaki field jacket always looks good, even when I don’t feel it. Practicality is its middle name with pockets to hold all the necessities and make transiting through a busy airport much easier.
Khaki is a great look with the neutrals and the brights. Try it with sunshine yellow; it’s cute. Red and hot pink? Beautiful. Even all khaki is gorgeous if you brighten the lips and not to mention it is fabulous if silver hair is your shade.
I am looking for a lighter weight, a linen mix version so this one is perfect. A good length with pants or even a midi skirt and a couple of pockets to fill if need be. It is a soft slouchy fit and a little rumpled – I like that – if a more structured jacket is your go-to, I love this one. Want the look but prefer a shirt style, try this shape.
All I know is when it works, it works and the khaki jacket is one of those. xv
