What’s not to love about a pearl earring?
Like the rest of the wardrobe, my ears have been left unattended this last year and without adornment. After the fabulous shot, I showed you on Monday of Diliana Florentin I have been searching for pearl earrings ever since.
I love a pearl and especially a dropped pearl earring. The luster lightens the face, even if they aren’t the real deal and add a feminine feel to whatever you are wearing. They are particularly lovely worn with the all-white – jeans, sweater or blouse – and truly fabulous with a black dress, suit or turtleneck and Capri length pants.
As I seem to be going for the Rapunzel tresses I find the longer drops are quite fun. Some would say they lengthen the face; I’m not convinced by that and like the more dramatic styles. Pearls tend to be light to wear which I find to be a win for comfort.
The oversized pearl stud is also a great look if you don’t like the whole dingle-dangle feeling. Remember our major crush on the Dior doubles a few years ago; those were never off my ears.
I’m so ready to dress up my ears. There is something incredibly feminine and right about pearls. xv
