You Know The Drill

Fashion is like that.

We know the drill; what goes around comes back around.

I’m talking about the cargo pant.

How many renditions have we seen? How many have I worn? The answer is many.

The difference today is where I once might have briefly given neon green silk a look in, now I am most definitely inclined towards adapting a fashion trend. Camouflage at a pinch – if they are simple and well-cut – but the rest of the bows and whistles I will leave for the celebrities.

Adapting a trend is what I like most about fashion. I want to wear it, and feel current but without looking ridiculous. This is always a balancing act.

I will be wearing cargo pants again but on the more tailored side, neutral shade, and with my trainers. No heels or platforms here. I might add a fabulous blouse, but the sequins and chainmail will be staying indoors. As for showing the belly.

You know the answer to that ;) xv
