‘You may go in to try on shoes or a dress, but you could well leave with a broom, a throw or a pencil sharpener in the shape of an iron.’ Ines de la Fressange
French model-muse Ines de la Fressange has opened a new boutique on the Left Bank in Paris. This lifestyle and vintage haven is filled with a combination of fashion and interior objects.
As the summer has well and truly kicked in I thought this month we could focus on France; Paris and Provence more specifically. I am spending the month of July in Provence so my mind will be well and truly wrapped up in all things French.
The Paris List is a new feature we have been working on, ideas of what to see and where to go if you are visiting Paris in the next few months.
Back to Ines de la Fressange who I admire from a distance frequently in Provence.
Yes, she looks as good if not better in real life as she does in the pic.
This store has that elusive French-girl cool.
Sweet vintage-inspired floral dresses hang from a copper rack in the centre and the walls are lined with demure shoes, luxurious scarves, and stylish sunglasses.
Organised like an elegant bazaar, there are long wooden tables and shelves filled with fabrics and textiles as well as straw baskets and ceramics, all sourced from her favourite artisans and brands.
At the back of the boutique is a cosy room, with raw, stone walls and bamboo furniture. This joyous beach house ambience is bursting with gorgeous crafted items for the home.
When in Paris, stop by enjoy a little of this icon’s signature je ne sais quoi style.
Please add any suggestions and recommendations for our Paris List in the comment section; the more French chat the better, xv.
