Isabel Marant’s runway show in Paris grabbed my attention.
Lately I have been seeing more and more possibility in her collections; for the more mature in me.
I enjoy her creative spirit but in the past found little to adapt or work with that suits. Recently that’s changed. It might be me; it might be them.
When the gorgeous Gigi Hadid walked the runway this week this silver knockout spoke to me.
I wasn’t thinking to wear the all spangle and sparkle extravaganza together but the elements rang true; the fabulous blouse, the jeans, the boots, the earrings and the overall look. The ombre nature of dressing is a statement I find most comfortable; tones on tone work well. Wearing a shade within a shade is flattering.
Most of all I like the cut of Isabel Marant’s jeans and the shape of the blouses. They have flair where I can “flare” and the jeans are up to date but not over the top. Isabel Marant is perfect weekend wear and this weekend that’s what I want; easy and good looking pieces to take me out and about and keep me feeling comfortable at home.
This blouse won’t be available for a bit but I will be on the lookout.
In the meantime, these will do just nicely. The jeans, the ruffled ombre shirt and the cute blazer; I’m giving these 10/10. xv
