Spring boots are on the way
When it comes to Spring dressing, choosing the right footwear can be a whole new dilemma.
If it’s not warm enough for sandals and the sneaker card has been overplayed, spring booties are the way forward.
A lower and looser cut make them an ideal shoe for the in-between weather.
Bring Back the Chelsea
We’ve been eyeing up the Chelsea style recently; sitting a little above the ankle with the right amount of give, they’re the perfect shape.
They were originally designed for Queen Victoria to wear when horseback riding but their popularity began in Chelsea, England, in the 1950s.
Not long after, they became a staple of the Beatles and the shoes everyone wanted to get their hands on.
To this day we still love their versatility and ease, deeming them one of our wardrobe essentials.
How to Style
With an abundance of versions, there’s a style to suit nearly all outfits and all budgets.
Go for a flat style with a thinner sole such as these for a casual day-to-day look.
Or try a chunkier sole like this pair to add a bit of height and edge.
For an afternoon event, try a heeled version with a point such as these ones.
Move away from the dark and into the lighter shades, like wet pebble.
If you’re not quite ready to lace up the sandals, try a bootie and put a spring in your step.
