I have found a new serum to share with you.
Before I do, I wanted to mention something.
When I create a post I have a process.
I think about the subject, the idea or the fashion and then I look for imagery that will illustrate my points. Sometimes I use my own but very often I like to celebrate other photographers and their work.
This morning I wanted to show a beautiful face, not a pretty young thing, but a woman with life and experience. Oftentimes the younger models don’t express what I want to say. Fashion is getting smarter but still has a way to go in understanding their demographics, their customers.
Today when I searched, “beautiful women” I was surprised by the images appearing on my screen; very, very young women only. I realised my error and immediately searched, “beautiful older women”. Better results, except many included in that bracket may not have been happy to graduate to the senior class.
Google you need to sharpen up. “Beautiful” has grown up and encompasses much and many.
What has this got to do with serum?
Age and serum work well each other. I didn’t need/use serum back in my younger days. Now I consider serum to be a nectar; one of the non-negotiable in the skincare regime.
Over the summer, in Provence, I made my usual foray into the local pharmacy and was introduced to the French brand, Filorga.
Do you know it?
The pharmacy was promoting the skincare range and as I had heard much but not tried Filorga I was happy to take home their generous samples. I have been using one of their serums every night since.
I like this serum.
It blends in, is not highly scented, has the magical ingredient hyaluronic acid and avoids use of the baddies. I don’t believe in skincare miracles anymore, that is something that age refines, but I am happy if a product makes my skin feel more hydrated and smoother. Changing serum on a regular basis, as with all skincare products, is something I try and do. It is not always easy to find a new product that you like as much.
I am definitely going to sample more products from their range; I am really impressed. xv
