Eyeshadow, the “no crease” way is the only way.
I am a little afraid of eyeshadow, it is one of those highly tempting prospects that can go horribly wrong. Full of promise, but eyeshadow if applied badly can be disasterous. Creases in the eye sockets or unintentional smudging underneath the eyes is not a great look.
I am all for adventure but not with eyeshadow.
There are many tricks to applying the perfect eyeshadow; contouring and defining the eyes takes patience and skill. Sometimes a quick fix is all I have time for and it is on those days that I use the most simple products and application methods. I like understated eyes, with emphasis on the lashes and neutral shades on the eyelids. I follow the golden rule of strong eyes with nude lips and strong lips with pale eyes.
The quick, easy and no crease way to dress up the eyes is to use one of the semi-professional long lasting eye colours. Make-up artists use these long wear creams under eyeshadow for a flawless finish. I use them on their own when I want results but don’t have time to press and play with powder eyeshadows.
Apply the long wearing creams with a soft blending brush, making sure to cover below and above the crease of the eyelid and finsh off with a coat or two of mascara
And that is it; the eyes are ready, set and go… xv
